Almost immediately after Google had anounced their new mobile payment system, Paypal had filed a lawsuit agains them. Paypal claims that two their ex top managers (Stephanie Tilenius and Osama Bedie) who had recently leaved their work in PP and joined Google, had seized confidential documents about Paypal strategy in mobile payments niche. Google still not commented this situation due to fact that they still not received copy of the complaint.

Biggest US banks (Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo) had anounced start of working on new payment system named “clearXchange“, pretending to take leadership in this niche from Paypal. Looks like this will be another clone of PP, right now the only unique feature is that user of this system can send money not only to email account, but to phone number too.

Google had just presented result of their work in cooperation with Citigroup и MasterCard. It’s a new payment system for smartphones powered by Google’s Android software.
